It so happens that El Tiede, this rather hellish-looking volcano on the Canary Islands, is Spain’s highest peak. Good trivia question. Also: The geological conditions in Tiede National Park are similar enough to Martian terrain that it’s a popular testing ground for various Mars-bound instruments and probes.
